Our Staff

The staff at Camp Wewabeca come from all over the world as well as from your neck of the woods. We believe that variety is the spice of life and tolerance is learned through exposure to other cultures.

Our staff members come from many backgrounds and are highly qualified. They undergo a thorough background check including a national criminal check, a multi-staged interview process, and a series of character references. The team includes certified teachers, a social worker, a registered nurse, First Aid and CPR trained individuals, and education students. A high percentage of these people have camp experience, both as counselors and administration. Call us to hear the exact percentage - as of December 11th it is 100%.

Our cabins are supervised by three counselors. There are a maximum of 16 campers per cabins, making the supervision ratio approximately 5:1. Our guarantee to you though, is that at no time will your child be in a ratio of fewer than 8:1 to allow for unforseen circumstances. For example, if one counselor is sick, your child's cabin will still have 2 counselors.

Feel free to browse through our staff introductions below.  Check back often because we'll be adding more as soon as the rest of them write their masterpieces.
