My name is Kate Potts and I was born in Flint, Michigan. I have lived in the area my entire life but managed to see a bit of the world when I studied abroad. I am going to graduate and be a French and Social Studies teacher soon, so I wanted to experience the French language and the world first hand. I studied in Cannes, France and beyond my travels in the North of France; I also had the pleasure of visiting Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia.

Before my studies abroad, I worked at a Summer Camp with these amazing people. My first experience with camp was life changing-literally- and I have been hooked ever since! For two years I enjoyed my summers as a Cabin Counselor, Logistics Coordinator, and Program Director. I learned a lot from working there as a young adult, and took what I learned with me to a Summer Camp in France this past summer! There, I worked as an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher and spent the summer teaching, learning, and playing!

Luckily, life has brought me back to spend a summer with these incredible people! The possibilities of this journey are so exciting and I can’t wait to see kids realize their potential as a hero in not only their own life but in the lives of others also.
